The Three Mile Hill (TMH) Processing Plant is the centrepiece of Focus Minerals’ operations in Coolgardie. Originally commissioned in 2009 and refurbished in 2023, the modern facility has a nameplate capacity of 1.2 million tonnes per annum and has consistently exceeded this rate since operations resumed. As part of the longer-term production strategy, Focus has upgraded its surface tailings storage capacity and converted the Greenfields pit into an in-pit tailings facility, providing tailings storage capacity for TMH for years to come.
TMH processes ore from multiple open pit and underground deposits across the Coolgardie Gold Project. By maximising throughput, maintaining flexibility to process a range of ore sources, and upholding high safety and environmental standards, TMH underpins the sustainable growth of Focus Minerals’ gold business in Western Australia.
Mining Operations
The Coolgardie Gold Project is located approximately 600 kilometres east of Perth in Western Australia’s prolific Eastern Goldfields region. As of the end of FY2025, the project hosts a substantial Mineral Resource of 42.61million tonnes at 1.89 g/t gold for approximately 2.59 million ounces of contained gold.
This extensive resource comprises a mix of open-pit and underground deposits, all situated within short haulage distances to the centrally located Three Mile Hill processing plant. This strategic proximity enables efficient ore delivery, supporting optimised mining and processing operations across the Coolgardie Gold Operations.
Exploration, Resources and Reserves
Coolgardie Gold Project
Focus Minerals is the largest tenement holder in the Coolgardie Domain, part of the highly productive Archaean Norseman-Wiluna Greenstone Belt in Western Australia. Gold was first discovered at Coolgardie in 1892, sparking a major gold rush that transformed the area into a bustling mining centre. Historic production from high-grade deposits such as Bayley’s Reward, Bonnie Vale, and Kings Cross delivered significant ounces, with mining continuing intermittently through the 20th century. Modern operations consolidated in the 1990s, delivering strong open pit and underground production until 2012, followed by a resumption of mining in 2022.
Resources & Development
As of 31 December 2025, the Coolgardie Gold Project hosts a global Mineral Resource of 42.61Mt @ 1.89 g/t for 2.59Moz gold, with substantial Measured and Indicated resources supporting mine planning. The project has 5.66Mt @ 2.10 g/t for 381,500oz in Ore Reserves. Resource development is focused on extending the Life of Mine through further exploration and expansion of priority targets across the project area.

Bonnie Vale Underground Mine
Nestled in the heart of the Western Australian Goldfields, the Bonnie Vale Underground Mine represents a new chapter in a story that began in 1894. This high-grade gold project commenced underground development in December 2024, with Barminco delivering underground mining services. Longhole stoping began in October 2025, ahead of schedule. Once in full production, Bonnie Vale will supply high-grade ore to the Three Mile Hill processing plant approximately 9 kilometres away, significantly boosting overall output and grades for the Coolgardie Gold Operations. With a 2023 Ore Reserve of 932,000 tonnes at 5.94 g/t gold (177,920 ounces), Bonnie Vale stands as a flagship, high-value, sustainable gold source for Focus Minerals for years to come.
Varischetti Village
Nestled on the outskirts of the historic Coolgardie township, Varischetti Village is a modern, purpose-built accommodation facility constructed in 2023 to support the growing FIFO workforce at Focus Minerals’ Coolgardie Gold Operations. Conveniently located just 6 kilometres from the Three Mile Hill processing plant, the village offers exceptional convenience for both staff and operations.
Designed with comfort and wellbeing in mind, Varischetti Village features high-quality hospitality and brand-new facilities. Phase one includes 100 room and a range of supporting amenities. In 2025, the village was expanded with an additional 80 rooms. The village is now operated at near-maximum capacity, with phase two expansion to be completed around mid-2026.
