Focus Minerals Ltd has a strong commitment to exploration within the Coolgardie region. The Company’s strong confidence in its tenements is based on the fact that there has been very little drilling below 200 metres. Much of the previous drilling was from historical operators, and many of the deposits have never been tested by modern techniques.
Focus believes that a multitude of high-grade deposits remain undiscovered within the project area which have the potential to provide it with the high-grade ore required to ensure production can be sustained at the targeted +100,000 per annum level over the long term.
Focus’ belief in the future of the Coolgardie Gold Field has been underpinned by an independent in-depth report by resource consultants SRK, which confirmed the potential for numerous substantial ore bodies at depth.
The study centred on an area of five square kilometres, which hosts some of Focus’ key existing resources, including the Lindsays Open Pit and Bayleys Underground Mine. The study has identified 17 “Rank One” exploration targets spread across the three different styles of mineralisation traditionally found at Coolgardie.
