Focus Minerals Ltd is an Australian gold producer with operations based in Coolgardie, in Western Australia’s Eastern Goldfields. Focus is developing a long-term gold business within its 210km² tenement holding in this world-class gold belt, located just south of Kalgoorlie’s ‘Golden Mile.

 

Focus commenced maiden commercial gold production in April 2008 through ore sourced from the Company’s flagship Perseverance Deposit. In early 2009, the nearby Countess Deposit was brought into production with ore from both deposits treated at the nearby Greenfields treatment plant.

 

Focus is hedge-free, debt-free by December 2009 and through the Company’s amalgamation of mineral rich tenements, an aggressive exploration campaign and its own milling capability, is set to become a significant gold producer in the region.

 

Since first production, Focus has established itself as a profitable gold producer (2009 Net Profit of A$3.15m) and has been instrumental in the revival of the historic Coolgardie Gold Field, which has produced over 2.6 million ounces of gold since 1892.
